Cold spraying is relative to the traditional spraying methods such as plasma spraying, supersonic flame spraying, explosive spraying and other processes and named. Generally speaking, the temperature of cold spraying process gas is less than 1000 degrees Celsius, and the temperature of spraying powder is even lower, in the process of spraying, the temperature of the workpiece surface is generally not higher than 150 degrees Celsius. When spraying, the material reaches the critical temperature of plastic deformation at the same time, the flight speed of the material needs to exceed the critical speed of plastic deformation of the material itself, which can impact the workpiece surface, plastic deformation, and then deposit to form the coating.

We use the internal heating method of resistance wire to heat the process gas to the appropriate temperature, and use the kinetic energy of the process gas to accelerate the powder material to above the critical speed. The working power of the resistance wire is 10KW, and the maximum heating temperature is 900 degrees Celsius. Compressed air, nitrogen and helium are selected as the working gases, and the maximum gas flow is 600L/min. The maximum working pressure of the barrel is 10bar.
